The first computer bug was an actual bug, and that is the reason why it’s called that when you have an issue. In 1947 a moth flew into the computer at Harvard University and stuffed it up. The programmer working on it at the time found the moth and taped it to a piece of paper with an explanation on what happened to the computer.
Rowan Atkinson’s Mr Bean wasn’t originally called Mr Bean. When he was developing the character, he didn’t give him a name to begin with because he was mostly silent. His writers put a bunch of vegetables on the table and the frontrunner was Mr Cauliflower. Also, the reason why we have Mr Bean is because Rowan tried a bunch of pitches for TV shows and was knocked back each time. The reason – his voice was awful. So, he decided to pitch something without his voice.
